现代水墨人物画在造型上借鉴西方的科学性,但是由于水墨画独特的工具材料和人文精神,其精髓是写意的。笔墨写意的基础是技术,其高度却是情感,没有情感的笔墨等于零。为避免走入笔墨游戏形式主义的误区,要时刻注意根据每一幅作品的题材和内容,让情感有感而发,真挚自然。水墨人物画的情感主要由书写性的线条而产生,物象由笔墨构成,其间接表现的特点产生暗示性,艺术作品都会有一定程度的暗示性,水墨画在独特的文化氛围中尤为突出。
