读了《新文学史料》一九八一年第一期在补正栏目内由李华盛胡光凡二同志写的《<战地>不是以“西北战地服务团”的名义创办的》短文,这个“补正”至少是不够确切的。一九三七年七月,抗日战争爆发后,当时在抗日军政大学任教的丁玲和吴奚如等同志即开始计划组织“战地记者团”、后经中央组织部和中央宣传部和丁玲、吴奚如商议,将记者团扩大为一个文艺宣传团体。于八月中旬正式成立了西北战地服务团,中宣部正式任命了丁玲、吴奚如为正副主任。在建团筹备中,丁玲、吴奚如等同志便计划出版一个刊物,作为西北战地服务团团刊性质的刊
