校训是学校着意建树的应然之风,体现了一种办学追求和办学理想,因而像一盏明灯,指引着学校的发展方向。对于一所大学来说,校训经过世代传承,最终可积淀为一种独特的大学风气和精神。根据统计,在2006—2008年教育部、财政部立项建设的100所示范性高等职业院校(以下简称“百所高职”)中,有98所院校制订了校训,只有两所院校的校训或在征集中,或尚未制定。这表明,我国高职院校普遍重视校训建设,校训已成为高职院校办学和发展的不可或缺的重要文化元素。
The school motto is a must-have for the school. It embodies a pursuit of running a school and an ideal of running a school. Therefore, it is like a beacon that guides the development of a school. For a university, school motto after generations of heritage, eventually can be accumulated as a unique university atmosphere and spirit. According to statistics, among the 100 model higher vocational colleges (hereinafter referred to as “100 colleges and universities”) under the construction of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance in 2006-2008, there are 98 institutions that have formulated school motto, and only two School motto or in solicitation, or not yet enacted. This shows that our vocational colleges generally attach importance to the construction of school motto. School motto has become an indispensable and important cultural element in the running and development of higher vocational colleges.
