中等职业学校的英语教学,是以培养学生实际运用英语的能力为目标,以实用、够用为原则。中等职业学校所开设的专业,大多和一线的服务行业有关。例如笔者所在学校就开设了酒店、文秘、财会、电子商务、航海驾驶等专业,这就要求中职的学生在任何场合都要礼貌待人,正确地使用英语的礼貌用语。但中职学生大多英语基础比较差,缺乏学习上的动机和目标,
The English teaching in secondary vocational schools is based on the principle of cultivating students’ practical ability to use English and is practical and sufficient. The majors set up in secondary vocational schools are mostly related to the first-line service industries. For example, the author’s school has opened a hotel, secretarial, accounting, e-commerce, navigation and driving and other professional, which requires students in the vocational school to be polite to treat people on any occasion, the correct use of English polite language. However, the majority of secondary vocational students have a poor English foundation and lack motivation and goals in learning.
