Objective: To explore the analysis and prevention of vascular injury by different venous access in patients with tumor chemotherapy. Methods: Tumor patients undergoing chemotherapy in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2014 were divided into two groups according to random number table: 50 patients in PICC group and 50 patients in control group. Comparison: 1) PICC tube and indwelling needle group puncture success rate and indwelling time; 2) PICC tube group and indwelling needle group adverse reactions. Results: 1) The success rate of puncture in PICC tube group and indwelling needle group was 100% and 90% respectively, and the indwelling time was (119.3 ± 14.6) d and (2.7 ± 0.4) d, respectively. The difference was significant (P <0.05). 2) The incidences of adverse reactions in PICC tube group and indwelling needle group were 8% and 34% respectively (P <0.05). Conclusion: This study shows that PICC catheter can not only prolong the catheterization time of chemotherapy patients, but also reduce the pain in the puncture site and adverse reactions during chemotherapy.
