南京市盲人学校创建于1927年,是我国最早的公立盲聋哑学校。2002年,南京市政府及教育局投资2600万改建校舍,学校焕然一新,现占地7200平方米,建筑面积10050平方米,办有学前教育、义务教育、中等职业教育和高等职业教育,形成了较为完整的盲人教育体系。南京市盲人学校是江苏省唯一独立设置的盲校,已成为省盲教育资源中心、南京市盲人推拿按摩职业技能培训中心、南京特教学院实习基地,堪称江苏省特殊教育的璀璨明珠。
Nanjing blind school was founded in 1927, is China’s earliest public blind deaf-mute school. In 2002, the Nanjing Municipal Government and the Education Bureau invested 26 million to rebuild their school buildings. The school now has a new look.
