1983-1984年系统调查了五个品种(“2961”、“竹广-29”,“70-1163”、“湘农早”和“戚优6号”)田间螟害株发展动态,查明水稻被害丛,枯鞘株,枯心株的发展趋势与幼虫钻蛀发育天数均呈“S”形曲线相关,建立了它们的模拟模型。各种螟害株增量高峰期出现于幼虫孵化后的期距如下:被害丛出现于孵后第5-11天,枯鞘株出现于孵后第9-13天,枯心株出现于孵后15-19天。由此提出在孵后9-11天施药防治较适宜。防治对象田则应根据被害丛率、枯鞘株来考虑。并报道了稻茎内二化螟种群存活率动态。
