种子败育和瘦秕是一个很普遍的现象,许多种子生产中都有发生,瓜菜类制种中表现得尤为产重。据我省部分制种点调查,种子败育瘦秕率平均为41%,导致减产约30%。酒泉地区在7年的制种中,种子败育瘦秕率平均为54%,其中部分瓜类及茄果类杂交制种,种子败育瘦秕率高达75%,亩减产20～70%,亩减收300～1300多元。
