丁临,江西省修水县路口乡人,1947年离陆去台,曾在台湾金门前线、台湾中正理工学院、台北市警察局等单位任军警职数十年。退休后,丁临思乡心切,于1988年首次回大陆探亲,1989年决定定居修水。他在家乡定居了近20年,既见证了祖国大陆的沧桑巨变,更目睹了故乡修水的今非昔比。在他的晚年生活中,他以一位老台胞的赤子之心和桑梓之情默默地为家乡贡献自己的力量。 Ding Lin, a native of Jixiu County, Jiangxi Province, left Taiwan for the first time in 1947 and worked for several years at the front of Taiwan’s Kinmen, Taiwan’s Chung Cheng Institute of Technology and the Taipei Police Department. After retirement, Ding Lin homesick, first back to mainland China in 1988 to visit relatives, decided to settle in 1989, repair water. He settled in his hometown for nearly 20 years, not only witnessed the vicissitudes of the motherland and the Mainland, but also witnessed the changing nature of his hometown. In his later years, he contributed his strength to his hometown silently by the feelings of innocence and affection of an old Taiwan compatriots.
