This article discusses an improved Doppler technique that describes how to simultaneously illuminate a moving target with two intersecting laser beams that are coherent with each other. The different Doppler shift signals from scattering, refraction or diffraction of the two repeated beams from the target are compared so that the measurement accuracy of the high-speed missile velocity is good.
