A new study points out that a microneedle robot may one day help us fight cancer. Over the past decade, scientists have demonstrated that magnetic devices can be used to manipulate medical devices implanted in the body, such as using a magnetic field to control a cardiac catheter and manipulating a micro-camera to shuttle through the intestine. Previous studies have also been able to manipulate large numbers of miniature magnets using magnetic fields. Theoretically, these miniature magnets can be used to solve serious health problems such as cancer.
