I. INTRODUCTION The epoch-making invention of cemented carbide by powder metallurgy was the German patent [1] proposed by Karl Schroter in 1923 [1]. The sale of WC-6% Co, a combination of WC and Co, by Widia in 1926, marks the beginning of industrial production of cemented carbide. In 1928 the United States, Japan also began production. In Germany, WC-6% Co alloys are class G for cutting cast iron. Which add a small amount of VC and TaC fine particles of WC alloy H class, since 1929 for cutting high hardness cast iron and so on. In addition, the development of high toughness alloys that increase the amount of Co is still used up to ~ 30% Co alloy as a wear and impact resistant mine tool. In addition, also opened up with WC-Co alloy hard-to-cut steel application series, that is, commercially available in 1931 with the TiC WC-TiC-Co alloy
