公路档案是公路行业在公路建、管、养活动过程中所产生、持有和保存的原始性信息记录,是公路事业的宝贵资源。信息社会时代,信息技术已广泛渗透到社会生产的各环节,并给人类生产生活带了巨大影响,同时也对公路档案事业的发展提出了新的更高要求,信息化建设是公路档案实现转型升级与创新管理的唯一途径与有效手段,是完善公路档案服务功能提升服务水平的必然要求。
