Mathematical cognition is an indispensable area of learning and development in kindergarten. After young children enter primary school, mathematics is an important subject they must learn, and their level of mathematics development often has a high degree of positive correlation with Chinese and reading. The acquisition and development of mathematical concepts in early childhood affect more than maths and may have a significant impact on their overall academic success in the future. Mathematics education in kindergarten stage should enrich young children’s mathematics knowledge in an appropriate way and promote young children’s learning ability.
