On June 1, 2012, the first Beijing CECC co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Beijing Municipal People’s Government came to a successful conclusion. A total of 1,721 Chinese and foreign enterprises participated in the first Beijing Trade Fair with an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters and held 130 forums and negotiations. During the Beijing Trade Fair, five authoritative press conferences were held, 10 authoritative industry reports were released, 458 projects were signed with a turnover of 60.01 billion U.S. dollars, of which international trade in services was 11.2 billion U.S. dollars.
