In the new century, the newspaper industry is becoming more and more competitive. How to save manpower, reduce costs, improve quality, avoid environmental pollution, and simplify the process of reporting and automation has become a hot issue of common concern in the newspaper industry. The leaders of Guangxi Hechi Daily pay close attention to the trend of hi-tech development in the press and publishing industry. After many years’ study and investigation, CTP system was found to be more suitable for the development of newspaper industry than the current laser phototypesetting system. Recently, Hechi Daily News introduced a CTP-2000 system from Beijing Stone Corporation. I happened to be a major engineer in implementing the project, and I was able to use CTP system in the newspaper industry
