Introduction A large volcanogenic sulphide deposit is only produced in a few North American ophiolite complexes. However, some economic geologists assume that most ophiolite complexes should contain large amounts of sulfides. Most of the North American ophiolite complexes described in this paper, like most modern expansive central ridges, are almost ophiolite complexes that do not contain large amounts of sulfides. We will also discuss why some ophiolite Complex rock contains sulfide, while others do not contain sulfide. The typical ophiolite complex has the characteristics of a fossil formation. The sequence of the ophiolite complex is bottom-up: (1) the basement of the ultrabasic strata; (2) the deep-formed strata, which are mainly composed of gabbro, diorite and Greenstone; (3)
