Objective To evaluate the angiogenic characteristics of ovarian tumors by enhanced Carcinoma Flow Score (CI) combined with microvessel density (MVD) counting (CD34) detection using enhanced e-flow technique. Methods A total of 102 ovarian tumors were examined in 100 patients with suspected ovarian tumors. CI and CD34 immunohistochemical staining were performed on the specimens. The CD34 - labeled MVD was calculated. Results The benign and malignant ovarian tumors showed significant differences in blood vessel distribution, movement and morphology. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of diagnosis of ovarian benign and malignant tumors were (1.5 ± 1.8) and (8.6 ± 1.5) points respectively (P <0.05) , 82%, 96%. Ovarian malignancies CD34 count (38 ± 10) / HP was significantly higher than the benign (16 ± 7) /HP (P <0.05). Conclusions Ovarian malignancies are irregular in blood vessels and have irregular spatial distribution and new blood vessels are active.
