中药丁香原植物学名修正

丁香是一种重要的常用中药。它是桃金娘科植物丁香的干燥花蕾,有温中降逆,补肾助阳之功效。主产东非和东南亚。1990年版《中国药典》将丁香原植物学名定为Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb.,现经考证研究,此植物学名系一分类学异名。根据《国际植物命名法规》规定,每一种植物只能有一正确的学名,故此异名应以废弃,需采用其正确学名。经考证,早在1753年,Linnaeus在他的《SpeciesPlantarum》一书中已将丁香学名定为Caryophyll-us aromaticus L.。但后来分类学家认为Linnaeus创立的Caryophyllus属实际上包括了他自己建立的番樱桃属Eugenia和部分Jambosa属,故此学名应以废弃。1788年Thunberg将丁香归人番樱桃属,并定名为Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb.。此后由不同的植物学家命名的丁香学名不断增多,约达10余种,如Eugenia aromatica(L.)Baill.,Myrtus caryo-phyllus Spreng.,Jambosa caryophyllus(Spreng.)Niedz.,Eugenia caryophyllata Willd.,Eugenia ca-ryophyllus(Spreng.)Bullock et Harrison等。 Cloves are an important commonly used Chinese medicine.
