本文所谓的寒武纪介形类,就是寒武纪的高肌虫目(Bradoricopida)。但是,不少人认为这不是介形类,而是与介形虫亚纲平行的另外的大类,叫做介甲类(Conchostraca);或者叫做古甲亚纲(Archaeostraca)。这后一观点,迄今仍盛行于澳大利亚和我国古生物界。笔者在参加编制西南化石图册中感到,无法沿用现行分类系统,不得不先就高肌虫的分类位置进行讨论,这是要写本文的一个原因;至于高肌虫目的归属问题和介形类的起源问题的
