The authors found that certain Legionella anti-sera and immunofluorescent conjugates cross-reacted with B. pertussis. The aim of this study was to determine the extent of cross-reaction and to evaluate the specificity of antiserum against Legionella pneumophila. The authors used 22 species of antisera belonging to 35 serotypes and 92 strains representing 19 species for slide agglutination tests with only Legionella pneumophila bacteria belonging to the type 10 Mycquat Legionella and the Gorman Regiment Bacteria and Type 1 Filipe Legionella Antibodies
