南朝鲜对外直接投资是从1968年南方开发公司向印尼投资开发木材开始的。当时,南朝鲜正处于资金短缺需大量输入技术和资本阶段,故对外投资的速度、规模和范围都是很有限的。从1968年至1979年的十二年间,其对外投资仅269项,金额为1.26亿美元。进入八十年代后,特别是最近几年,由于经济环境和其他条件的变化,南朝鲜对外直接投资也迅速增长。 South Korea’s outward direct investment began with the southern development company in 1968 investing and developing timber in Indonesia. At that time, South Korea was in the process of being in shortage of funds and needed to enter a large amount of technology and capital. Therefore, the rate, scale and scope of foreign investment were very limited. In the 12 years from 1968 to 1979, its foreign investment was only 269, amounting to 126 million U.S. dollars. Since the 1980s, especially in recent years, South Korea’s foreign direct investment has also rapidly increased due to changes in the economic environment and other conditions.
