人民美术出版社是一家中央级专业出版社,一九五一年九月成立于北京,周恩来总理亲自为它题写了社名。三十五年来,我们共出版了各种美术读物近万种,总印数达三十七亿多册(张)。这些读物既有为广大读者所喜闻乐见的连环画册、儿童美术作品、年画、宣传画、挂历等普及读物,也有为专家、学者和图书馆、院校、研究单位藏阅的高中级画册;既有为国内读者所需要的美术技法书、工具书、美术教材,也有为国外读者所欢迎的旅游摄影集和美术图册。此外,我们还出版了在国内外广具影响的十一种美术期刊、丛刊,如《美术》、《世界美术》等。
People’s Fine Arts Publishing House is a central-level professional publishing house founded in September 1951 in Beijing. Premier Zhou Enlai personally wrote the name of the company for it. For thirty-five years, we have published nearly 10,000 kinds of art books totaling more than 3.7 billion copies (Zhang). These books have both popular books, children’s art works, New Year pictures, posters and calendars, as well as high and mid-level albums for experts, academics, libraries, institutions and research institutes that are popular with readers. Both books For the domestic readers need art techniques books, tools, art materials, but also for foreign readers welcome travel photography and art atlas. In addition, we have published 11 kinds of art journals and series influential at home and abroad, such as “Fine Arts” and “World Fine Arts”.
