在研究了福建省三个代表性垂直带谱土壤中的粘粒矿物后认为:金岗山和鼓山由于母岩均一,故从低海拔到高海拔,粘粒矿物呈有规律的演变即高岭石逐渐减少,且结晶度逐渐降低,三水铝石和14(?)矿物逐渐增多;黄岗山垂直带谱中粘粒矿物演变趋势虽相似,但由于母岩和地貌条件的变化,使其变化规律不及前两者来得清晰.此外,黄岗山垂直带谱中,从山地草甸土到红壤,14(?)矿物由蛭石转为铝蛭石,其抗收缩能力也随海拔降低而增强.高海拔土壤中的三水铝石多是风化早期的产物.
