加强共产党员的党性锻炼是党的建设的基础性工作。因为党员的素质决定着党的命运和党的事业的成败,而共产党员的党性强弱又是决定一个党员素质高低的首要条件。江泽民同志曾指出:各级领导干部务必带头加强党性锻炼,在改造客观世界的同时努力改造主观世界,严以律己,防微杜渐。胡锦涛同志也特别强调,坚强的党性是高素质领导干部的决定性条件。一个党员干部党性好,其它方面的素质差点可以弥补;党性不好,其它方面的素质再好也无济于事。年轻干部肩负跨世纪的重任,是党的事业的希望,我们必须深刻认识到,权力意味着责任,岗位昭示着使命,应该更自觉地加强党性锻炼,努力提高党性修养。
Strengthening Communist Party’s Party Spirit Training is the Foundation Work of Party Building. Because the qualities of party members determine the fate of the party and the success or failure of the cause of the party, and party members’ strong and weak party spirit is the primary condition for determining the quality of a party member. Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out: Leading cadres at all levels must take the lead in strengthening the exercise of party spirit, make efforts to transform the subjective world while reforming the objective world, and strictly guard oneself and take precautionary measures. Comrade Hu Jintao also emphasized in particular that a strong party spirit is the decisive condition for high-quality leading cadres. Party members and cadres have good party spirit and the quality in other areas can almost make up for it. Party spirit is not good and the quality in other areas no matter how good it is. We must profoundly realize that the responsibility of a young cadre shouldering the task of cross-century is the cause of the party’s cause. Our mission is to manifest our mission. We should more consciously strengthen the training of party spirit and strive to improve party spirit.
