农业科学是农业生产和农业科学试验研究的总结或理论体系,它的研究对象是社会化的自然现象,属于自然科学,是一个科学群,包括作物遗传育种、作物栽培、植物保护、土壤农化、畜牧兽医、农业机械、农业经济管理、农业系统工程等科学。人们在探索未知的自然规律时,总要运用一定的研究方法。自然科学方法可划分为特殊研究方法、一般研究方法和哲学方法三个层次。农业科学方法论是关于农业科学研究方法的规律性的理论,它与自然科学方法是共性与个性,一般与特殊的关系。
