楸树(Catalpa bungei G.A.Mey)是优良的用材和四旁绿化树种,在我省云台山区生长良好。但由于繁殖困难,发展受到一定限制。 该树种是异花(或异株)授粉植物,单株或同一无性系长在一起,由于自花不和合性,往往花而不实。要获得种子需每年在高大的树上进行人工授粉,而得到的种子为杂交种。常规的无性繁殖方法主要是采用根插,因取材困难,这种方法也不能满足生产需要;采用嫩枝扦插又不易生根。因此,楸树的繁殖问题急需研究解决。从今年2月份开始,我们试图用组织培养法繁殖楸树,现已获得试管苗。初报如下:
Catalpa bungei G.A.Mey is an excellent timber and greening tree species, growing well in Yuntai Mountain of our province. However, due to the difficulty of breeding, development is subject to certain restrictions. The species is heterogeneous (or heterologous) pollination plants, single or the same clones together, due to self-incompatibility, often spent false. The seeds are to be pollinated annually in tall trees, and the seeds obtained are hybrids. Routine asexual reproduction method is mainly used for root insertion, because of difficult to draw, this method can not meet the production needs; using softwood cutting is not easy to root. Therefore, catalpa tree breeding problems urgently need to study and solve. From February this year, we tried to breed catalpa by tissue culture, and now we have test tube seedlings.
