同一个英语单词具有两种截然相反的意思,这一现象在英语中叫自我反义。造成这一现象的原因有英语语言系统内部及外部的多种因素,其中词性的变化、外来语以及文化的影响是主要原因。这种自我反义现象的形成过程也印证了索绪尔的解构主义语言学任意性的基本原理。
The same English word has two diametrically opposite meanings. This phenomenon is called antisense in English. The reason of this phenomenon is caused by many factors inside and outside the English language system. Some of the factors such as part of speech, loanwords and culture are the main reasons. The formation of this phenomenon of self-antisense also confirms the basic principle of Saussure’s deconstructionist linguistic arbitrariness.
