密筋炉胆用在冲天炉上已有20多年历史。目前,对它所发挥的作用有两种不同的意见。一种意见认为,密筋炉胆在节能提温方面起了很好的作用;另一种意见认为:①热风温度不高(最高200多度,一般100多度)没有多大意义;②炉胆造价高,寿命短,得不偿失。本人从事冲天炉现场熔炼将近30年,设计过各种炉胆16个,对炉胆寿命也进行了长期考察。现就密筋炉胆的作用和炉胆寿命作一些讨论。
