1992年10月至1993年2月,我应德国海德堡大学汉学系邀请,在那里讲了一个学期的课。他们要我开三门课。一是“中国诗歌史”,由于时间太短,我刚讲完唐诗,学期便结束了;二是“京剧研究”,除简单介绍中国戏曲与京剧本身的发展史外,主要对京剧表演艺术以及所谓“梅兰芳艺术体系”做了一些分析,让西方学生大体了解我国京剧艺术的特点究竟是什么;三是“近代文学作家研究”,我讲了黄遵宪和林纾这两位代表人物,并对他们的学术和创作的重大成就和历史地位做了新的评价,提出一些个人看法。
From October 1992 to February 1993, at the invitation of the Department of Sinology at Heidelberg University in Germany, I gave a semester lesson. They want me to open three classes. What is the “Modern Literature Writer Study”? I talked about the two representatives, Huang Zunxian and Lin Shu Made new comments on their major achievements and historical status in their academic and creative work, and put forward some personal opinions.
