应用红外线吸收进行连续分析,还是最近十几年来的事。目前这一项技术已较成熟。红外线吸收连续分析的优点是:(1)选择性强,能解决一般化学分析方法难以解决的问题;(2)灵敏度高,精确性和稳定性都能达到要求;(3)利用红外线连续分析于控制生产,对于充分利用原料,提高产品质量和节约分析工作时间具有很大意义。红外线吸收连续分析器可分为两大类:一类是具有分光系统的分析器,第二类是不分光的分析器。前者适用于液态物质的连续分析(亦可用于气态);后者适用于气态样品的分析。现将这两类仪器的结构、操作原理作一简单的介绍。
