我省地层发育完整,类型多样,化石丰富。自十九世纪末叶开始工作以来,迄今已有近百年的研究历史。尤其是在新中国成立以后的三十多年中,省内外有关单位在区调、普查、勘探、科研及教学工作中,积累了大量的地层古生物资料,取得了更为丰硕的成果。现值中国地质学会成立六十周年之际,粗浅的回顾与展望我省地层古生物工作的研究概况,以表庆祝之忱。一、解放前我省地层古生物的研究概况 Stratigraphic development in our province complete, diverse types, rich fossils.
