蛋白石常为黑色、白色或橙色。采用宝石学常规测试,对一种褐色的蛋白石进行测试。测得其折射率为1.450,摩氏硬度为5.5,相对密度为2.05g/cm3;利用宝石显微镜和偏光显微镜对其显微结构进行观察,揭示该蛋白石的成因;利用傅立叶变换红外光谱分析和化学分析的方法对样品进行测试,对其呈色机理进行探讨。
Opal often black, white or orange. A gemstone routine test was used to test a brown opal. The refractive index was 1.450, the Mohs hardness was 5.5 and the relative density was 2.05g / cm3.
