Developing countries that use resources as their economic base are facing serious problems as the demand for metals and minerals continues to decline. The metal and mineral industry is going through a process of worldwide adjustment that will be even more detrimental to those countries that rely on the export of resources for their economic development and which are also beset by the low prices of metals and minerals in international markets
