金属型复砂铸造法是六十年代后期,七十年代初期发展起来的新工艺。在国外有金属模壳型铸造法、金属模挂砂铸造法等名称。它是在金属母型和金属型板间的空隙中射入热固性树脂砂,使金属型型腔的内壁复有4~8毫米厚的一层坚硬的壳型而命名的,它具有金属型和壳型铸造法的特点。由于金属型复砂生产球墨铸铁零件具有优质、高产、低消耗等许多优点,所以在一些主要资本主义国家如美、苏、德、日等都很重视该法生产,并获有专利。我国是由常州柴油机厂首先进行试验,我省永康拖拉机厂是在学习他们试验的基础上,于1975年下半年着手试验研究推广应用这项新工艺,通过一年来对S195柴油机球墨铸铁曲轴采用金属型复砂新工艺进行一系列的试验,其经济效果如下:
