Robert J. Lefkowitz, a professor at the Duke University Medical Center in the United States, shared the 2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Professor Brian Kebierka at Stanford University. Robert J. Lefkowitz was born in the United States in 1943 and received his MD from Columbia University in 1966. He is currently the recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Duke Medical Center Medical and Biochemical Immunology A professor of medicine and medicine, and a cardiologist engaged in basic research at the Duke University Heart Research Center.
