今夏,作为各级领导和各部门了解民委工作、民族工作的重要渠道和帮助少数民族和民族地区反映情况和问题的便捷途径,以及各级民委发挥职能、展示工作能力和水平的有效形式的民族信息工作得到前所未有的重视。国家民委主任杨晶日前指出,加强信息工作是民委转变职能、强化社会管理和公共服务的重点;湖南省民委主任王德靖强调民族信息工作是民族工作的灵魂和生命线,是民族工作部门、民族地区联系党和政府的纽带,是宣传民族工作的窗口和手段;湖南省民委还第一次制定下发了《关于加强民族信息工作的意见》(湘族通[2009]19号)文件。信息时代,形势逼人。加强民族信息工作,能为党委、政府正确处理民族问题、支持民族地区发展提供科学的决策依据,能让更多的部门、更多的人了解、关心、支持民族工作,推动民族地区的发展,维护好、实现好、发展好各族群众的根本利益。本刊特选编湖南省民委系统信息工作的先进经验和做法,以期全省民族信息工作更上层楼。
