棉花地膜覆盖栽培(简称地膜植棉)是我国近年来引进的一项新技术。从试验示范到扩大应用,全国仅五年时间已发展到650万亩左右,每年均以十倍、百倍的速度递增,并取得了显著的增产效果和经济效益。尤其是北方棉区,已成为夺取棉花早熟高产优质的一次关键栽培措施。我省居全国之后,1982年开始试验示范,83年播种地膜棉2000余亩,因遭历史罕见的冰雹、大风、洪涝、干旱等灾害的影响,实收地膜棉仅796.5亩。今年可能达一万余亩,为抗灾保苗,争早发多结,早熟高产收到了良好的效果。一、地膜植棉的效应与研究进展两年来的试验证明:地膜植棉确实能适时早播,争“三苗”,突出了一个“早”字,比同期播种的露地棉早出苗4～5天,
