Founded in 1978, Shanxi University is one of the earliest established teaching and research bases for dialectics in universities. In 2000, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as the philosophy of science and technology and the only key research center for humanities and social sciences under the Ministry of Education , With the state key disciplines of philosophy of science and technology, philosophical postdoctoral research stations, philosophy and history of science and technology two doctorate degrees.
