无线电技术正经历着从模拟到数字、从单种业务到多媒体、从窄带到宽带、从单一区到全球空间的发展。蜂窝移动通信、寻呼、移动数据传输、个人通信业务、数字广播与数字电视等与大众息息相关的产品也在迅速发展,普及率正以惊人的速度增长。“未来就是现在”是太平洋电信委员会第20届年会的口号,全球电信业的发展态势在会上得到了充分的体现。发达国家的科技进步尤其是电讯业的发展已使其步入信息社会,在未来世界科技竞争中占据有利地位,也对我国科技进步提出了挑战。
Radio technology is going from analog to digital, from a single business to multimedia, from narrowband to broadband, from a single zone to global space. Products related to the public, such as cellular mobile communications, paging, mobile data transmission, personal communications services, digital broadcasting and digital television, are also rapidly evolving, and penetration is growing at an alarming rate. “The Future is Now ” is the slogan of the 20th Annual Conference of the Pacific Telecommunication Commission, and the development trend of the global telecommunications industry has been fully reflected in the conference. The scientific and technological progress of the developed countries, especially the development of the telecommunications industry, has enabled them to step into the information society and occupy a favorable position in the world’s scientific and technological competition in the future. This in turn poses a challenge to China’s scientific and technological progress.
