关于褐稻虱Nilaparuata lugens Stal的寄主植物,目前国内外尚有不同看法。据国内有些资料报道,褐稻虱寄主单一,专食水稻。但在《国际褐飞虱会议论文集》中介绍的寄主植物已有25—60种,在试验条件下,一龄若虫饲养到成虫的亦有30多种。近几年来我们调查到的主要寄主植物亦有10多种,但其中对寄主植物李氏禾Leersia hexandra Swartz(又名游草)在国内争论较大,大多数认为褐稻虱若虫单食游草,最多只能成活到三龄,不能羽化为成虫,但有的则认为褐稻虱在无水稻的情况下,也取食游草,并能完成世代。根据我们通过多年饲养试验的结果,已经证明取食游草,能完成世代。因为我们从游草中采集的飞虱越冬卵,其孵化的若虫仍以游草作饲料饲养,在羽化的成虫中,均养出了一定数量的褐稻虱成虫。为了进一步观察了解褐稻虱与害主游草的关系,澄清上述议论,我们在1980年12月—1981年2月进行了辅助试验,其结果又一次证实了褐稻虱若虫单取食游草不但能羽化成虫,而且部分个体的成虫寿命长达16—19天。

Because of the overwintering eggs of the planthoppers we collected from the weeds, the hatching nymphs were fed on grassy weeds, and adult adults of the brown planthopper were both raised in eclosion adults. In order to further understand the relationship between brown planthopper and grasshopper, to clarify the above discussion, we carried out a supplementary experiment from December 1980 to February 1981, and the results again confirmed that brown planthopper nymphs Not only can the emergence of adults, and adult life expectancy of some individuals up to 16-19 days.
