公路上的构造物,除管涵以外,小桥的数量也比较多,因此在修筑小桥时,如何精打细算是有很大意义的。经验证明,修建石料墩台和木料上部构造组成的半永久性桥较为合宜,因为木质墩台不但有时打桩遇到困难(特别在半山区或山区地段),而且耐久性也差;永久性的石料结构,技术性较高,修建时期较长,费用亦较高,不如半永久性桥施工简易,且比较经济。半永久性桥不但能满足目前需要,还可以照顾到将来的发展,并且在一般山区地带就地取材也容易。
