本文旨在探讨关联理论是如何帮助大学英语教师实现其话语目的的。通过课堂录音收集资料并凭借关联理论对此进行分析,结果发现,大学教师与学生互动时擅长借助关联理论原则向学生发出明示刺激以鼓励学生对此进行推理,从而影响其认知环境,弄清教师话语的意图,最终实现提高学生语言及交际能力的目的。
This article aims to explore how relevance theory can help college English teachers achieve their discourse goals. Through the collection of materials in the classroom and the analysis based on the relevance theory, the result shows that when teachers interact with the students, they are good at using the principle of relevance theory to give explicit stimuli to students so as to encourage them to reason about them and thus influence their cognitive environment. The intent of the teacher’s speech, and ultimately achieve the purpose of improving students’ language and communicative competence.
