金湖地处高邮湖西侧的湖荡平原.从1973年起陆续引进池杉进行造林,到1986年已发展池杉林6300亩.造林地土壤分别为潮土、灰粘黄土、黄岗土及乌泥土,土壤深厚.潮土、灰枯黄土和黄岗土,质地为轻壤到中壤,乌泥土为重壤,因开发不久,保水性能差,下层土壤板结,透气性差.每年冬春降水少,气温回升慢,风大,风多,土壤表层水份蒸发量大,土壤干燥,对池杉造林成活很不利.为了提高池杉造林成活率,我们采取了以下一些有效措施:一、培育壮苗池杉苗木主梢木质化程度高低,苗木根系发达与否,对造林成活关系很大.为了培育壮苗,1983年5月我们进行了池杉小苗移栽,1984年春用于造林,结果经移栽的池
