On December 12, 1996, the “Diary of the Wartime” by German John Rabe, a witness to the Nanjing Massacre, was made public in New York by his granddaughter, Mrs. Ursula Reinhardt, arousing strong international public opinion Response, the news media made full coverage of this. Experts and scholars believe that this is another ironcident evidence of the massacre of the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese troops and has an important historical value. Recently, the reporter interviewed Wang Wulong, secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee. Wang Wulong said that on October 9 last year, the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall to the Nanjing Massacre in Japan had received the report and its attachments to Hitler sent by Mrs. Reinhardt from Berlin, Germany, including his A diary and a copy of the 80 “Nanjing Atrocities” photos he has compiled. After the experts conducted the research and argumentation on the diary, it can be confirmed that Rabe diary is a persuasive and valuable research material on the Nanjing massacre discovered in recent years.
