据交通安全机构的统计显示,中国每年有超过1.85万名儿童(14岁以下)死于交通安全事故,死亡率是欧洲和美国的2.5倍。为了普及和提升家长以及公众的儿童乘车安全意识,沃尔沃汽车于2012年9月2日在上海通孚祥江杨路店举办了沃尔沃儿童安全体验日活动,并邀请瑞典沃尔沃汽车安全中心高级技术负责人,瑞典查尔姆斯理工大学客座教授洛塔·雅格布森女士携手同济大学汽车学院汽车安全技术研究所所长朱西产教授莅临现场,向媒体及数十家关注儿童乘车安全的家庭分享权威的儿童安全理念。除了精彩的专业知识讲座之外,活动现场还精心设计了模拟碰撞试验,用直观的模拟演示让现场观众切身体会到儿童安全座椅在儿童乘车安全当中的重要作用。
