壮族是我国少数民族中人口最多的一个民族,全国共计有一千二百多万人,聚居在广西、云南、广东,少数分布在湖南、贵州。壮族的自称计有二十种左右,自称“布壮”的居多,分布在广西的宜山、南丹、罗城、忻城、柳城、柳江、鹿寨、象州、武宣、来宾,贵县、马山、都安、融安、永福、阳朔,临桂等近二十个县。壮语“布”是人的意思,“壮”是什么意思,还须进一步研究。
Zhuang nationality is one of the most populous ethnic groups in our country. There are over 12 million people in the country, living in Guangxi, Yunnan and Guangdong, and a few are in Hunan and Guizhou. There are about 20 kinds of self-proclaimed Zhuang nationalities claiming to be “Zhuangzhuang” mostly distributed in Guangxi, such as Yishan, Nandan, Luocheng, Xincheng, Liucheng, Liujiang, Luzhai, Xiangzhou, Wuxuan, guests, Guixian and Ma Hill, all security, financial security, Yongfu, Yangshuo, Lingui nearly 20 counties. Zhuang language “cloth” is the meaning of people, “Zhuang” What does it mean, still need further study.
