《新华字典》是中华人民共和国成立后出版的第一部以现代语言学和辞书学理论为指导编纂的汉语小字典,也是同类工具书中最权威的一部。《新华字典》自1953年出版以来,对中国的文化教育事业,对推广普通话和促进汉语规范化作出了十分突出的贡献。《新华字典》第11版自2011年出版后,不仅以更高的科学性和实用性,继续为文化教育事业服务;还以平装本的定向发行等不同形式,深度参与到文化民生建设中,受到社会各界的关注和好评。本文对这一版在出版发行方面的一些重要事例做了评述。
Xinhua Dictionary is the first Chinese dictionary to be compiled under the guidance of modern linguistics and lexicography, which was published after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is also the most authoritative one in its kind. Since its publication in 1953, Xinhua Dictionary has made outstanding contributions to China’s cultural and educational undertakings, its promotion of Putonghua and its promotion of Chinese standardization. Since its publication in 2011, the 11th edition of “Xinhua Dictionary” has not only continued to serve the cause of culture and education with a higher degree of scientificity and practicability, but also participated deeply in the construction of cultural livelihood through different forms such as directional distribution of paperback books, By all sectors of society’s attention and praise. This article reviews some of the important stories in this edition of the publication.
