It may be easier for architects to make decent designs when designing for their own homes. Just as fashion designers do design for others, they like to design formal suits because they “work out”; for them, they like to do casual clothes because they are comfortable. My home is such a natural “work”. This is a multi-storey brick-concrete residential building with a building area of 120m2, a floor height of 2.9m, and 5.1m and 4.8m openings that create an inherent spatial advantage.
