八盘岭公路隧道全长1600m，掘进断面66m~2。本文根据隧道工程口部地质条件，整个隧道围岩稳定性差和施工难度大的特点，提出了口部掘进施工方法，地面和硐内加固支护方案、光面爆破设计，围岩监控测量技术等，以及突破口部难关后，采用的全断面一次掘进施工方法，均取得了良好效果，为保证按期完成施工任务打下了良好的基础。
